About Us

The “Live Oak” in our name is a nod to the majestic southern live oak, an iconic symbol of the Old South. Our family has strong roots in coastal Savannah, and the Lowcountry of South Carolina where live oaks are native to the region. Our head craftsman & designer has over 15 years of woodworking experience covering an array of projects from cutting boards to furniture to home renovations. Uniquely, he also has a master’s degree in computer engineering from Georgia Tech. This makes his attention to detail and planning an obvious favorite part of any project. He also brings to the workbench a decade of service in both the United States Marine Corps and Air Force. You’ll see this in his dedication and commitment to excellence in every step of the wood crafting process – from concept to completion.
